5 REASONS TO DRINK MORE WATER

5 IMPORTANT REASONS TO DRINK MORE WATER THAT NOBODY TELLS YOU.

I genuinely believes that Water is the cure for everything. Dark under eye circles? You’re not drinking enough water. Overslept, got in late to work and got yelled at by your boss? You’re not drinking enough water. Broke up with your boyfriend? YOU’RE NOT DRINKING ENOUGH WATER! Laugh all you want, I deadly serious about it!

In your school science class, they tell you all sorts of boring stuff that doesn’t really sink in at the time – that your body is 70% water or something and that you need to hydrate regularly to make sure all your organs are functioning properly. No offence teachers, but you’re going to have to come up with a better reason than that. I’m freaking 9 years old, I don’t understand the impact of organs functioning or not functioning properly – I only popped out of the womb three days ago.
Then when you get older, every makeup artist in every beauty section of every fashion magazine tells you that you need to drink more water to give your skin a ‘lit-from-within’ glow.

Let’s face it, regularly drinking water (and then regularly having to pee it out) is cumbersome. Nobody likes doing it and it is a freaking chore. There. I said it. That felt good.
Also, nobody likes being *that* girl who runs to the little girls’ room every four and half minutes and has all her colleagues looking at her like she’s a freak of nature. But for all the effort it requires, I’ve actually searched long and hard and have come up with a few decent reasons to drink more water that actually impact my daily life, none of that ambiguous organ bullsh*t.

Read on if you’re searching for your own reasons but haven’t found your motivation yet:.

   (1) Better skin.
No, I’m not going to tell you to do it to make your skin glow *insert eye roll emoji here*. I am, however, going to tell you something I wish someone had told me as an acne-riddled adolescent. If your skin is oily, its because you’re not drinking enough water. If your skin believes it feels dehydrated no matter how moisturiser you use, it tries to over compensate for the lack of moisture by producing its own – aka oil. However, the more water you drink, the more hydrated your skin feels, the less it feels compelled to moisturise it on its own with natural oils. Drinking 2-3litres of water on a day guarantees your skin will be less greasy and more supple and hydrated. Try it.

(2) GET breath.
Chances are, if your oral hygiene is on point, you don’t smoke or drink coffee and you carry around a little bottle of mouth wash and mints in your handbag but your breath is still questionable, its because your mouth is too dry. A dry mouth leads to bad breath. The more water you drink, the more moist your mouth is and the better your breath will be. Its a simple enough fix and you’ll thank me the next time you’re up close and person with your crush / significant other.

(3) Gud bedroom time.
I’m just going to go ahead– the less water you drink, the less you are likely to lubricate when things get hot and heavy in the bedroom. So if doing the deed is painful or not as pleasurable as it should be for you, its likely you’re not lubricating enough because you haven’t been drinking enough water. An easy quick fix in the moment is an external lubricant, but as a more long-term solution, WATERis your BFF.

(4) No more UTI’s.
Every girl at some point or the other in their lives has experienced a UTI and you all know what a little b*tch it can be. Unfortunately for me, I Never experienced becoz i know the important of drinking water.
But i tell you my friends story When I finally got to know that she is in emergency unit, and that becoz of UTI was brought on because she was completely dehydrated and nothing else. It made sense, because when I thought about it, she don’t think she  had drank a whole glass of water in three whole days! becz of family functions. she learned the lesson the hard way – don’t let this happen to you, too. Dehydration is one of the main causes of UTI’s and the preventing it is just so easy!

(5) A free pass from kidney stones.
I used to think kidney stones only happened to older people, but when I heard my brother who is younger than me talk about how horrifyingly painful it was to pass her first kidney stone, I had to admit, I was sitting with my legs crossed, squirming in my seat and instinctively, reaching for a bottle of water. One of them even compared the pain to labour. Its easy to keep them at bay by drinking more water though, and I plan on keeping my trusty bottle of water within arm’s reach 24×7 after listening to their horror stories.
